Micro Windsurfing

   At Windsurfing-Maine we have been teaching younger, smaller students from the beginning.  We have recently geared up with more Micro-student friendly set ups specific for tiny Surfers. Making Windsurfing a reality for those as little as 50 pounds, yup, we're talking 5-year-olds !!

  When getting "littles" started we take a different approach, learning most of their basic skills in shallow water simulation and starting off by learning to sail downwind.

  Sailing downwind being the (physically & logistically) easiest of the headings helps to develop the Micro windsurfers confidence and allows us to introduce techniques in a step by step, bite sized, comprehensive type of format.
